Hi Susan, My cousin is, I think, a great granddaughter of William Silas. She was talking about him the other day, and the thought occurred to me that someone on this message board might come across some record of his burial in their research. I know several people have tried to find his grave. Maybe someone somewhere will see his name. I think she told me someone had written a book about William Silas. She was talking about it. I think she said her cousin, Stanley Anderson, knew more details about the book. Thanks for replying, Sherry __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! I have a copy of the Petition for Naturalization for Peter W. Anderson, filed to the First Judicial Circuit Court for the State of Wisconsin on February 20, 1899. He shows that he is 32 years of age, a native of Denmark and arrived at the port of New York on or about May, 1888. He declared his intention to become a citizen in a filing with the Municipal Court for the County of Milwaukee, Wis. on October 22, 1890. The Certificate of Citizenship was issued on February 20, 1899. This is not my Peter Anderson, who was born in Jul 1846 in Norway. If this Peter W. Anderson is an ancestor/relative and you have an interest in obtaining this petition, please contact me off list and it is available for the cost of postage. Cliff
Dear Friends and Cousins, I am posting this question for my close cousin. She is looking for William Slias Anderson who was born on October 22, 1865. In 1925 William Silas went to north western Pa, western New York State, and he may have spent some time across the border in Canada. Her family would like to locate his final resting place. Please keep a watch for his name in a census list or in a cemetery book. The family has been searching for several years without sucess to discover his grave. After all these years he may be impossible to locate. Thank You Sherry --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance Tax Center - File online. File on time.

DYLAN CLASSIC IS A REAL FOLK ROCK legend Bob Dylan claims the song that brought him worldwide fame was originally a Scottish folk tune. His 1960s hit The Times They Are A- Changin' became an anthem for hippies and anti-war campaigners. But Dylan, 62, who will play Glasgow's SECC in June, said: 'It is probably from an old Scottish folk song.'

Do you have any information on a Henry Anderson (middle name supposedly was Rose) that married Elizabeth Roe Balch in 1809 at Russelville, Logan KY? Supposedly Henry was born in Tennessee, but I am not positive this is true. I do know that Elizabeth Balch was a daughter of Rev. James Balch (Rev. Hezekiah James Balch?), and that the Rev.'s family came from Maryland and supposedly settled in Greenville TN before moving to Indiana. Henry Anderson died in Parke County between May 2, 1846 when his will was written and Jan 15, 1847 when it was probated. His wife Elizabeth Balch Anderson died in Indiana in 1863. Henry and Elizabeth Anderson's children included: Margaret Ethelinda, Angeline S., James C., William W., Granville Washington, John Moreland, Eliza and Henry Harrison. Most or all of these children settled in Indiana and Illinois. Early Anderson's from Greene County TN include Barnabas Anderson and Daniel Anderson (1783 tax list), but I am unable to connect Henry to these Anderson's. I am trying to find out Henry's parents as well as whether or not he truely was from Tennessee or possibly that he came from Logan KY where he was married. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I am looking for any information on Archelaus (Archelus) Anderson, b. abt 1734, moved to Chester, Massachusetts in 1761, married Sarah in 1769, served in local militia from 1771, d. 1782 of small pox while serving in service of his country at West Point. In 1790, widow Sarah had 1 son over 16, one son under 16 and 4 daughters. I think she may have died about 1835 in Newstead, Erie County, New York. If so, she may be the mother of Samuel Anderson who bought land from the Holland Land Co. about 1812. He disappeared from the census there after 1840. Samuel is my 3rd Great Grandfather.
