Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wl.2ADIB/8732.1.1 Message Board Post: I do not have any idea of any other relations of this family. I just found out from a 1920 census that my grandfather was married prior to my grandmother, and that my uncle Harold and Aunt Marion Anderson Fox were from that previous marriage and the marriage was to Mary McQuire, and I have a photograph of Kate McQuire. The only thing I have on my grandfather was that he was born in Ontario, Canada Dec 05, 1868. For that matter my Uncle Harold and Aunt Marion could have been born in Canada. My father was born in Bergen NY, and moved after he served in WW2, I have only been to that area maybe 4 or 5 times in my life, My grandfather died before I was born, and my grandmother died when I was 5 and my And My Uncle Harolds wife died real close to my grandmother, that both were held at the same funeral home the same day at the same time in the same room. The only thing my father ever told us was that his father was born in Ontario Canada, and that he offered my father his farm in NY, and my father did not want it. Of course both my parents are no longer living, to find out. Im not sure if he was Scottish or Norwegian descent. I know there were 2 Anderson lines 1 being Scottish and 1 being Norwegian. I have been hoping to come across a Powell some where in the line, since that is such an unusual middle name, I was thinking it would be his mothers maiden name, or grandmothers maiden name. The only names I have of other Anderson's and I dont know if they were from Canada or NY, are Robert and Annie and there son Donald. I have a photograph of them in my Grandparents photo albumn, the only other photograph I have was newer and all it said on it was Canadian relatives no names.

Surnames: Anderson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wl.2ADIB/8742 Message Board Post: During the Great Depression my great-grandfather Joe Winston Conover and his two brothers Marvin and Elbert moved from Kentucky to Illinois to do farm work, as work was scarce at home. They became friends with a man named Frank Anderson who was a psychic. My great-grandfather was born in 1904 and Frank would have probably been about the same age as him and his brothers. I would appreciate any information that anyone has about Frank or his family. I can't remember the name of the town in which they were living or the names of the families that my relatives were working for, but I have them recorded and I also have pictures of Frank and the families.

Could the wife's name have been Nancy Isabella Bodine and that's why you can't find her? Here's the address. I don't know if you are a member of ancestry, but I'll give this to you anyway http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2612545&id=I544255761 Maybe the people who posted this tree could help? The name on the tree is Renee Nichols, her email is [email protected] This tree states Perry Anderson's death was in 1876 Shelby County, Texas. So that's probably where they lived in the end. His father was Jonathan "Old Shelby" Anderson, born in Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky. And mother was Hanna Louise English born in Tennessee. Are these the same people?

I need to know the 1870 census location/address for Perry ANDERSON & his wife Isabella [BODINE] ........ I have searched 3 different 1870 Texas and Louisiana census indexes (all counties) using every conceivable spelling I can think of and used the "wild card" search using every conceivable miss-spelling I can think of for the first 3 letters of the given name but I still cannot find Perry, his wife, or his unmarried chn Jonathan, William Pinkney, Elizabeth, Amanda, Archie or his "suspected" chn Chane and James Perry Anderson. Ditto searching in 1880, I cannot find Perry & Isabella's chn Jonathan or Archie or their "suspected" chn Chane and James Perry Anderson. These Anderson's must have been left off of the indexes, omitted in the census altogether, or possibly living with some other family and listed under their surname.........????? Perry Anderson's father (Jonathan "Old Shelby" Anderson), his g/father, and his gg-g/father came to Texas in 1818 so his descendants are eligible to join the DRT & SRT (I'm sure some already have) but they need the PROOF of kinship the 1870 & 1880 census will provide. These descendants are also eligible to join the DAR & SAR through their Anderson heritage but again they need the PROOF of kinship the 1870 & 1880 census will provide. Can anyone help me to help them??? Kathye [Payne] Upham [email protected] P.S. my "kinnection" - my 3g-grandma was the sister of Jonathan "Old Shelby" Anderson Related surnames by marriage to these children are: EDDINS, WILBURN, HENDERSON, TAYLOR, BRITTAIN, LAKEY, LOUT, JACOBS

According to the 1910 Census, he was attending school (although, how could that be if he is only 2 years old?). His residence was 2165 Cherry Avenue, St Louis MO. He served in WWII, according to my mother-in-law, who was Orin's neice. She was a kid at the time she knew him, and thought his name was "Arn." I have also seen "Oron." Also, according to my mother-in-law, "Arn" had seven boys. When Cecelia Anderson Young died (parents Seley and Ida Omohundro Anderson), "Arn" attended the funeral, along with another brother Charley and wives and sons. There is a sister, as well, although I don't have proof of that. I would so love to hear from you.
