ANDERSON, aged 22, was fatally injured in the Holloway Yards at 7:30 while braking on the hump. He was riding on a car and when he saw it was going to hit another car, he started to climb back to the rear end of his car, but the pockets opened and he went down through the car with the coal and was run over. Both legs and right arm were severed from his body, besides other injuries. The car stopped on his body and it was necessary to get jacks to remove the car. He was under the car about one hour before he was extricated. He was rushed to Ohio Valley Hospital where he died at 11:50 on the operating table. Mr. Anderson came to Holloway about eight months ago from Uhrichsville. He is survived by a wife and baby about two weeks old. *********************** Courtesy post - not related

    1. Re: 1870 -WHERE?? were Perry ANDERSON & Isabella BODINE
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Anderson, Perry & Isabella Bodine (maybe Nancy?) Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wl.2ADIB/8741.2.1.1 Message Board Post: I got a "return undeliverable" on my email. So I'm not sure if I emailed it or not. So I'll post what I said here just in case. I get hung up like that sometimes, actually more often then I'd like to admit, hehe. But sometimes it can be a mismatch that throws me off, or there is nothing on-line that's available to begin with. Using Ancestry.com can be irritating too sometimes, when the only year I really need to search is the only year that isn't indexed! grrrr! Anyway, I was wondering if you might have a mismatch in your tree? I found a Isabella M. Bodine, born 1825 in San Augustine, San Augustine, Texas (death Jan 1879, Shelby, Texas) married to Perry Anderson on 1843, Shelby, Texas. He was born Nov 15, 1823 in San Augustine, Texas and died in 1874. Probably the parents of your Perry born 1868? So, you might try searching San Augustine County? There's also a Perry Anderson (birth abt 1822) married to a Nancy I. Bodine (birth abt 1826). This showed 1 daughter Nancy P. Anderson born 18 Apr 1848, Shelby co. Texas, death 18 May 1917 Sabine Ph., Louisiana married to Moses W. Henderson born 29 Mar 1845, died 29 May 1917, Sabine Ph. Louisiana. So you might try Sabine Ph, Louisiana. In those days, did daughters move that far from their mothers? (other children of this couple Perry & Nancy, were William Perry, birth 3 Sep 1850, John S., birth 1844, Amanada A., birth 17 June 1856, Arch, birth 14 Nov 1857, Betty, birth 1859, Chain, birth 1844, and Jonathan A., birth 1846 all these children were born in Shelby, Texas.) Also found a Perry Anderson, born 1823 Panola, Texas, parents Jonathan Anderson born 1799 in Kentucky, died 1889 and Hannah E. English, born 1799 Tennessee, father James Joseph English, mother Elizabeth Denton . So Kentucky or Tennessee might be a check? Found reference to a Perry Anderson marrying Dollie Vernon on 23 Dec 1904 in Crockett County, Tenneesee. Might be a stretch, but worth a look? From what I've seen so far, I'm thinking there's a typo on Isabella's middle initial above (on the record), that it should be an N not an M. That her name was really Nancy Isabella Bodine. So you might try looking for Nancys? The only family tree I found with a James Perry Anderson son of Perry Anderson & Nancy Isabella Bodine married Rosa J. Wilburn born in San Agustine, Texas. In 1870, James Perry would have only been as young as 1, or as old as 3 depending on birth month and all. He would have had to be with his mother until her death. If she was an invalid, I'd think one of his sisters or brothers would have raised him? Course these aren't actual records I'm quoting here. They are records submitted by other family researchers, so there's no accounting for the accuracy. I have no family connection to this line that I can see. My Anderson ancestry came over on the boat about the time this family was being born. And we didn't live in the Texas-Southern US areas but in the Northwest part of the US. But I thought maybe this might help by giving you some possible new paths? You sounded very frustrated in your post.
