I believe he had two siblings. I know he had a brother I am not sure of his name but he was killed in a car accident going to attend his brother's wedding. Also he had a sister by the name of Edith. That is really all of the information I know. I would really appreciate anything that anyone else could help me to obtain. I basically know that the ancestory starts with my grandfather Edwin and traces back to a Burit or Burret Anderson. (4Edwin - 3Warren - 2Warren - 1Burit). I am actually a part of the 6th generation from what I have typed. Edwin married Helen (Smith) and they had three sons. Their names are Edwin, Howard, and David.

What little information I have tells me that my grandfather was born in Union City around 1917. Is it possible that his father is related to members of your family. Do you have any information in your family history concerning these people?

This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Rudolph, Lynn, Brown, Stewart, Hutchison, Smith, Gupton, Rinehart, Holt, Allman, Ransdell, Guynon, Hackett, Snow, Garrison, Johnson, Armstrong, Wyatt, Duffell, Halliburton, Burton, Dunn, Sloan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wl.2ADIB/8858 Message Board Post: LOCATIONS in this message: TN counties - Montgomery, Dickson, Humphreys, Stewart; KY counties - Ballard, Christian, Graves, Calloway; AR county - Izard. I would like to hear from any descendants of Richard Anderson. RICHARD "RICHY" ANDERSON was born in 1791 in Montgomery Co TN and probably died prior to the 1840 census. He married apparently before 1815 Margaret "Peggy" Rudolph, born ca 1793, died 1851. Margaret Anderson appears as a head of household in the Montgomery Co 1840 census. The name Richard Anderson appears in the records of both Montgomery Co and adjoining Dickson Co. In 1816 in Dickson Co one man by that name bought 150 acres on Jones Creek from Joseph Lynn, and in Oct 1817 sold the same land to John B. Brown. Richard and Margaret lived for a few years around 1820 in Humphreys Co TN and then moved back to Montgomery Co, where he spent the rest of his life. According to Goodspeed's Montgomery Co history, Richard and Margaret had six children. The only proven child is Wiley H. "Hogue" Anderson. Four others have been found who may have been Richard's children, but the links need to be proven. Their names are Robert, Elijah, Margaret and Jacob Anderson. ================================================== ROBERT ANDERSON was bondsman for the marriage of Thomas Stewart and Margaret Anderson in 1839. A list of citizens in Montgomery Co in 1841 shows a Robert Anderson in the same district as Elijah Anderson. He is probably the Robert C. Anderson, born around 1815 in Tennessee of parents born in Tennessee, who in 1860 is found in the household of Edwin Rudolph in Ballard Co KY. In 1870 he's there with the family of David Rudolph, and in 1880 he's in Izard Co AR with Silas Rudolph. According to a WorldConnect submission, Silas was the son of Henry and Mary (Hutchison) Rudolph of Montgomery Co TN. Robert was a carpenter. In all the censuses in which he's been found thus far he is listed as single. ============================================== WILEY HOGAN "HOGUE" ANDERSON, b 10 Feb 1818 in Humphreys Co TN, d after 1900 census; m Montgomery Co TN 5 Oct 1843 Margaret E. SMITH, b Montgomery Co TN 30 Aug 1825, d 1851, dtr of John Smith, of German descent. Hogue is in the 1850 census of Stewart Co TN and in Montgomery Co in 1860, 1870 and 1880. In 1900 he is listed next door to his daughter Missouri Gupton in Graves Co KY. According to his biography on pages 1002 and 1003 of Goodspeed's "History of Montgomery, Robertson, Humphreys...Counties of Tennessee", Hogue and Margaret had three children: Ellen C., Margaret E. and Missouri A. 1. Ellen C. Anderson, b ca 1846. She is said to be buried in the "tiny abandoned Anderson cemetery" in Montgomery County. She married James K. "Polk" Rinehart. Two children: Neppie and DeLacey M. Rinehart. a) Neppie [Penelope?] Rinehart, b Mar 1870, m Buck Holt. b) DeLacey Milton Rinehart, b 7 Mar 1877 Hickory Point, Mtgmry Co TN, d 26 Mar 1939, m Lily Allman. In Hopkinsville KY in 1920. Anderson, b ca 1847, prob d before 1892, m in Mtgmry Co TN 17 Oct 1866 John Edward Ransdell (1834-1900), Sgt, Co K, 14th Tenn. Inf. Both bur Hogan-Stewart-Graham Cemetery in Mtgmry Co. Although one web site lists "Margaret Eliz" Ransdell as Hogue's daughter, her middle name seems to have been Isabella, since the 1850 and 1860 censuses both show "Isabella" instead of "Margaret" between Ellen and Missouri in Hogue's household. Some of their children were: a) George Ransdell (1867-1870) b) Wiley H. Ransdell (1869-1920), bur Woodall Cem, Mtgmry Co c) Bella Ransdell, b ca 1872 d) John A. Possibly "Wiley" should be "Willy", and this William R. may be the same person. William married Florence, b Nov 1860, and had children Nannie Anderson, b Sep 1884, and James E. Anderson, b Dec 1886. Nannie may have married Carl Dunn. James E. Anderson married Sallie, b ca 1896, and had children William, b ca 1915, James E.
