She was born on Oct. 17, 1913, the daughter of Telesphore and Emma (Perry) Favreau. She married Leo Anctil on Jan. 15, 1946. Edna and Leo owned and operated Anctil’s Bakery in Champlain for nearly 50 years. She is a member of St. Mary’s Church. She is survived by three sons and their spouses, John and Sue of Mooers Forks, Bryan and Sharron of Rouses Point and Mark and Claire of Rouses Point; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lucille Merchant, Mrs. Mary Ann Greene and Mrs. Eva Favreau; one brother-in-law, Francis Anctil as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Leo; an infant son, Andre; three brothers, George, Edward and Armand Favreau; and a sister, Laura Coloumbe. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain. Donations in her memory may be made to the Champlain Rescue Squad or St. Mary’s Church.
