Amy Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother Mildred M. Amy, 91, formerly of 1768 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. She was born May 7, 1914, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late E. G. and Marie Hoffman Dillow. Along with her husband Wallace, they owned and operated Amy's General Store in Sterrettania. Mildred was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross for many years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Amy; and a brother, Walter Dillow. Mildred is survived by two sons, David Amy of Denver, Colo., and Richard E. Davis and his wife Dorothy, of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Dr. Deborah Davis, Diane Hoak, and Rick Davis; and one great-grandson, James Hoak. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. i! n Burton's All Faiths' Chapel, with Rev. Darrell Greenawalt, pastor of the Girard United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sterrettania Cemetery.
