The age on the census forms varies enough that it's not very useful evidence one way or another, but I'm not completely prepared to assume that the source that gave the birth date for the cemetery records or whoever did the math once they had the date was correct. I think the best evidence you have to negate the Micah tie is the 26 Sep date for the MN Thomas Amy. Although the Amys aren't a focus of my current research, I'll keep my eye out and mark this in my notes. My connection to the Amy family is through Thomas' daughter, Martha. She's my 3rd great grandmother through her marriage to Reuben W. Edminster. Their son, Albin, was my 2nd great grandfather. I have a picture of a very aged Martha if you're interested.
