Amy, age 85, of Erie ,co,pa, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. He was born July 21, 1924 in Ripley, N.Y. a son of the late Floyd and Winifred M. Loveless Amy. Robert served with the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked at Lord Corporation for 25 years. Robert enjoyed being in the outdoors. Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Rathers Amy; one brother, William Amy; five sisters, Mildred Amy, Frances McElroy, Edna Fiesler, Ester McGuire and Ruth Prentice. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Amy of Niceville, Fla., and Michael Amy, of Erie,pa, two granddaughters, Susan and Angela Amy; three great grandchildren, Treva, Jason and Elijah; a sister, Clara Klemm of Erie,pa, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th and Greengarden Boulevard, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery.
