Also their sister Ann and her husband Samuel Auger came but not sure of their dates. They have spread out across Canada and into the U.S. (and elsewhere int the world probably). Had 3 living children: Charles Elbert Robinson b. 15 Feb 1858 Berlin, Wisconsin d. 9 Sep 1926 Chicago, Cook, Illinois William W. Robinson b. 1864 Michigan Jennie (Abigail) Robinson b. 24 Apr 1869 Flint, Genessee, Michigan d. 9 sep 1937 Trilby, Lucas, Ohio buried in London Twp. I've gotten a slight breakthrough. I've found Rose on my great-great grandmother's death certificate. It says her name is Rose and then the last name appears to be Ross/Rose/Rosa/Roso or something of that nature. It also has her listed married to an Andrew Jackson. We are assuming his name may have been Andrew Jackson Moore as both my great grandmother's last name on her marriage cert was Moore. Birdie Moore married Conn and then married Allen. Her sister Lucy Moore married a man with the last name of Amy. We know for sure Birdie (My great grandmother) was Indian as her death cert states it now. So now the search continues for her parents. My grandmother was the AMY in my line. Her father Henry Wilford AMY (son of Jesse and Mahala) had 4 sons, one of which died young, one never married, one had no children, and the last had only an adopted son. So, I have to go back to descendants of other sons of Jesse and Mahala to find the closest male AMY to me. Just this past year DNA matches opened up links and new information of one my lines that had been stuck with no progress for 30 years. Hopefully DNA would do the same thing on the AMY line. In addition to finding a descendant of Joseph that would be willing to DNA test, we would need to find descendants of other (particularly Pennsylvania) AMY/EMIGH/AMIGH, etc. lines that would test. I used to live in Boulder. I will let you know when I update the page with all the citations. No descendant from various lines of Joseph seems to know where in Pennsylvania he was from, and he has not been found there yet in records. I think if it is going to found, that it may come through DNA. Tradition told by Henry W. AMY (grandson of Joseph) to his granddaughters [including my mother] was that the name was originally EMIGH or AMIGH. I don't know how much you know about DNA, but y-DNA is passed directly from father to son, so the person that would have to test would to be a direct line male descendant of Joseph. Would this be something in which you would be interested? There is some general information about testing at http://www.familytreedna.com/privacy.html If you are interested, I will see if I can locate and interest some AMIGH/EMIGH/AMICK/EMICH etc. in addition to any other AMY that would be interested in forming a surname project, which would bring the costs of testing down.
