Hi, I love Ancestry but then I've been a subscriber for at least 3 or 4 years now so i don't run into what's free and what's not. I can imagine how frustrating that can be. I think that is why I went ahead and joined. I tried it out for the 3 months and have been on the yearly plan ever since. I have not yet found an error in the transcribed databases, though some must be there. I have found many errors in the submitted gedcoms section, but that's the norm in genealogy since we started using computers, and probably before. The errors just did not spread as fast. I have the basic and the census subscriptions which cost me $100 a year for both. Eventually, I hope to add the newspaper subscription. There is not enough there yet for me to subscribe. I held off on the census images until they completed enough states to make it worthwhile. My husband always knows what to get me for Xmas, birthdays, and anniversaries...another subscription, a good gen book, or ahhhhhhhh...a gen trip to a wonderful old courthouse. I don't need diamonds, just old records, please. It would be very kind and helpful to provide Ancestry.com to your library patrons. Barb T
