    3. Carolyn, I thought AMXROADS was a research and info board-not a Chat board. Please drop me from the list. 3. Dear Marie and Cousins, We are a community that very much needs to re-learn how to communicate and share with one another in a variety of ways. It is my believe that through re-connection and re-establishing our kinship we all prosper in our research, and enrich our lives in uncountable ways. I have never felt that Lists serve as very effective means of passing on research, but rather as a medium of communication and networking between one another. That is the first focus with this list. DNA, especially good/bad sites, efficacy or lack or it in research tools, books, new/good/bad approaches, are all a part of it, just as sharing in the joy of someone's 50th wedding anniversary or the birth of a child or grandchild in someone's family is a part of it. We are re-building a community rent with anger, hurt and disillusionment. Most of us do not know one another in the face to face way, but we are learning about one another in the heart-to-heart way through love of our common American heritage. The website is where we can better portray our genealogy, history and locality research and can attempt to help educate fellow researchers in methodology and resources. This list and the websites were not formed to provide research, but to point the way down the paths. I am sorry that you are disappointed in the comments. I think you will find answers in your genealogical quests here if you examine and participate in the overall/broad message of American Crossroads, but that is achieved through an ebb and flow of give and take, give and take, give and take. Every group is the sum of many individual parts. Some parts will work for you and some won't, just like life. Use what works, and ignore what doesn't. I hope you will change your mind, but if you don't, I will unsubscribe you, of course. Love, and always the best in your quest, Marie Your Cousin, Carolyn
