Though our information differs and your message was posted in 2005 I wanted to get in touch. Johann Franz Ziegler is my husband's great (x5) grandfather. He was born in 1734 in Untersterode, Hesse. He sailed to America with the reginment in 1776 as a private with the 5th company. After his release in 1783 he settled in Nova Scotia. He had a son named Albert who sailed over around the same time and served with the Young Royal Highlanders. Albert was married in 1778. Are our Johann[es] the same? I have been unable to find any information regarding his parents/marriage/or other offspring. erica
