    3. Hi, Received a request off the list - included is her email in full - and please reply to both the list and her personal address... Nelda Date: Mon, 4 Jun 2012 22:40:31 -0700 From: [email protected] Subject: Question re Hessians To: [email protected] I knew nothing about the Hessians--except the Battle of Trenton...and although I have learned exciting new info from your site...I have a question: My husband's ancestor was (Johann) Werner Bock. According to your site, he was in the K-7, Kassel Fuselier Regt. von Knyphausen. I understand that von Knyphausen was the commander of the regt, and I understand that Kassel is refering to a place in Germany.....but does "Fuselier" mean "fuse-lighter"? I looked at the other names "Musketier", "Grenadier",etc--Musket and Grenade, correct? When I do a search for the meaning of Fuselier, I keep finding it used as a surname. I looked and looked through your site, so I hope I didn't miss something you clearly posted. Thank you for any information you can give me. Dani [email protected]
