    3. Hi, Can someone do a look up in the Hetrina? Henrich Schmitt, born Henrich Schmidt 1753 in Bottendorf (Burgwald), fusilier mit Regiment von Ditfurth, in HETRINA (LAGIS Search) apparently deserted in September 1777, possibly in Rhode Island . HETRINA (LAGIS Search) indicates "arrested after desertion". NOTE: While your at it.. would you please look up the brother - His brother, Michael Schmidt, born 1749 in Bottendorf (Burgwald), laborer with Huyn Garrison Regiment, deserted November 1782. Both of these brothers were believed to have continued their lives in America. References of their relatives in Bottendorf in later years indicate they were still alive. Thanks, John ~~~~~~ On 08/17/12, Nelda Percival<[email protected]> wrote: John, First to answer properly, we need the data on the soldier. Full Name, dates, places, where did you find the information he was arrested? And anything else so he can be looked up...
