    3. For those of you who are researching Brunswick soldiers, you may be interested in reading a wonderful journal by August Wilhelm Du Roi that I recently discovered on-line, entitled Journal of Du Roi the Elder Lieutenant and Adjutant, in the Services of the Duke of Brunswick, 1776-1778, translated from the original German manuscript in the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., by Charlotte S. J. Epping University of Pennsylvania (New York: Appleton & Company, 1911). Journal is readable on-line and available free as an e-book. While the journal contains very few names of rank and file soldiers, it does contain wonderful descriptions of the voyage to Canada, observations about Canada and the residents , descriptions of the activities of the Brunswick contingent in Canada and its journey toward Bennington, the names of officers either killed or missing at Bennington, a description of the march of the convention army from Rutland to VA, description and condition of the barracks, etc. Mary Hicks
