My ancestor, Heinrich Adam Nollner, appeared in Petersburg, VA70 miles southeast of C'ville, in mid-1780s as Henry A. Nollner. His 1843 obituary said "he fought in the late revolution." but I haven't been able to find him associated with troops on either side. He was born in Treffurt in 1761.
