Would you have additional information on societies, etc , which would be a good starting point for me to trace more detailed information on my ancestor Philipp-Andreas Eschenbach (1751-1821). Many points of entry, plus I found quite a list of information already, but the web links out there tends to be overpacked with information and sieving is not easy when you do not fully know all the keywords of what you are looking for. So you have an idea, the type of info I am after: - When arrived in North America (info points to mid-1770's) - Military info on his company/regiment, where posted, battles, etc - I found him in the list of Hessians who stayed in North America (lucky he is not in the list of defectors ...), wishing to find information the move from north-eastern US into Quebec (married in Quebec in ~ mid-1780's), when/how his company/regiment got disengaged from the commitments. - Cemetery : how to track where the sepulture might be.
