    3. Hello Patricia, I think there is enough evidence to lend support to your family's story of a Hessian soldier Heinrich. Almost same birth date. How about location? Has Peggy any leads? This got to be able to be resolved. What do the County records of Cumberland County say? Wishing you all a good Christmas Season, yours John Merz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darrell Brandon" <darpat@tcsn.net> To: "John Merz" <hessian@sympatico.ca> Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 7:12 AM Subject: RE: Westphal or Westfall, or perhaps Westphall? Dear John I have been trying to find info on Henrich Westfall ever since you provided his name a couple of years ago. I subscribed to AMREV-HESSIAN mail list for several years because my husband's grandfather, William Westfall was supposidly decended from a Hessian soldier. I haven't been able to find any more info than what you provided. I contacted the woman who is researching Gotlieb Westfall, but she had no info either. The person on the Westfall list, you mentioned, supplied me with his ancestial info which seem to prove our Westfalls decended from Julian. What is surprising is there is a Henrich Westfall in that line who was born practically the same day that the Hessian Westfall was born. My first thought was that the two Westfall lines had crossed over each other, but the more I study the Dutch Westfall the more it seems that we are of that line. I am still open to the idea of a Hessian Westfall because that is what our family "story" says. If you want me to send you the names of our Westfall ancestors and the way it integrates with the Dutch line I would be glad to do so. I would very much like to be able to connect our line with the Hessian Westfall.
