Hello folks, I really didn't want to stir up this age old mystery of who was the first WESTFALL or WESTPHALL or WESTPHAL in America. I do believe it was Julian, it sure looks like it --- but now Jane Curci forwarded to me two old postings from the WESTFALL-L mail list dated 22.Oct.2002, where the first name ISAAC WESTFALL is mentioned. The first e-mail came from darpat@tcsn.net and the reply from Joe Weiss weissjoe@iquest.net Joe, I have no problem with your genealogy, except you have to realize that after your Julian came over, there were others who came, and you cannot ignore the two Hessian soldiers WESTPHAL as you can clearly see from below Message Board posting of mine done in April 2003. On 20 May 2004 I posted another message to the same Board, and this one gives the name of the 7 sons of Gottlieb Westphal, who lived with his wife in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. There is a son ISAAC ! Believe it or not.
