    2. OK, the purpose of this list is the study of German soldiers that fought for the BRITISH in the Revolutionary War, and decided to stay in the United States or Canada. Some of them, such as my "Hessian" ancestor, subsequently joined the American forces in the War for independence. EVERBODY on this list has other German ancestry, but this is not the place to discuss it (unless it's related to German forces sent by the British). I am not the moderator of this list, but if you look at the postings, they will bear out what I am saying. If we all did what you are doing, the whole point of this forum would be defeated.
