Hello lists ! I am trying to bring a brickwall down : George GINCE m. c. 1822 Lake Champlain to Desanges BELAIR. They baptised a son : Michel GINSSE 03 Mars 1828 (born Apr/May 1826, 22 months old) at Ste-Marie-de-Monnoir (Rouville co.) Quebec. The mother is said to be deceased and the father is deceased when Michel marries Onesime GERVAIS in 1847 in the same parish. Now, I'm suspecting that George GINCE might be of german descent and could probably be related to : GANS (Cantz, Ganus, Gause), Christophe, born. c. 1756 Versbach (Wurtzburg) Hesse-Hanau, Infanterie reg., Von Schoell co. m. bef. 1778 : Marguerite-Cunegonde FURSTERER.
