    3. Dear Zwonk; My GGGG Grandfather was a Hessian Soldier named John Yarger, his son also named John was born in 1778. In 1803 John Jr & Elizabeth gave birth to Jacob in Huntington County, PA. In 1811 the entire family moved to Ohio, (most likely to Perry County). In 1828 Jacob & Susan Yarger had a son named John who was born in Perry County. They additionally had 6 more children later on. In 1853 Jacob took over the family farm after the death of his father. Most of the family stayed on in Perry County well into the late 1800's. I wish I would have thought of it. My G(4)greatgrandfather Conrad Butt (Konrad Botte) was born in Hesse, fought for the British and switched sides following the battle of Red Bank, I believe. Later we find him marrying an English lady and moving to Ohio with a fellow Hessian soldier, Leonard Bach(Baugh). These two live out their lives in/nr Darby Creek, Wayne Twp, Pickaway Co, OH where Conrad passed away in 1832 and where Lawrence apparantly died before 1820. Does anyone have any Hessian relatives who lived in SE/SCentral Ohio? Pickaway Co? Thanks Russ Ehler ==== AMREV-HESSIANS Mailing List ==== Please stick to our published subject - Hessian Soldiers of the American Revolution, not WWII or the Civil War.
