Dear John, We hope you will be following our messages on this List and making a contribution when you can for a long, long time - slow down - but never give up! I thank you again so much for your help in identifying Brunswicker Carl Simon Wrede (aka Charles Frada/Fraday/Frady), my ancestor, who settled in North Carolina. With your help, I was also able to identify Brunswicker Heinrich Wrede (aka Caspar Henry Friday/Fraade/Freadea/Fredea/Freda) who settled in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The Freda family had been looking for Henry's origin for more than twenty years. Both of these were on the muster rolls at the Albemarle Barracks on September 14, 1779. Henry has been identified as an officer's servant. You have made history come alive with your extraordinary perception and hard work! Good job!!
