Dear subscribers of this AMREV-HESSIANS mail list; Before I want to make my statement, I would like to thank Bob Fetters and Mary Fetzer for their offers to supply me with pictures and other information for the project I had planned. Bob himself was the originator of the Hessian Plaque, and now of the Descendant pins, and Mary Fetzer has done a terrific job to promote the awareness and knowledge of her Hessian ancestor. However, due to the shortness of time and the poor response to my request by the rest of our subscribers, I decided to abandon this project of putting together an album to show how our descendants of Hessians are willing to share their pride with others. Perhaps someone else will take on such a job, for me it is just getting too much, sorry to say. May I also remind everyone that all our postings on this list since 1998 can still be found in our list archives, which are mentioned time and again, at least once a day, and how to access them. Even if you delete a posting from your computer in-box, it still is in the archives. Hello Hessian descendants: Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of pictures of the plaque itself, what I am after is pictures of the plaque on Hessian soldier's graves, or memorials, or even when presented to some organizations. If you have such a picture, scan them and e-mail to me with explanations of where when, who and why, etc. I want to put together a memento in form of an album to present along with an actual plaque to the Rose House Museum. It is supposed to demonstrate that the Hessian Soldiers have been receiving their due respect from their descendants all over the country. <SNIP>
