Thank you so much, Mary, perhaps this is what brings us closer to the real Elizabeth MOSER, the wife of Frederick SPEES (SPIES) I checked out the name Elizabeth MOSER, there are literally hundreds, no wonder, it's like searching a needle in a haystack. But having read the name MICHAEL Moser as the father of Elizabeth, and the mother a Mary SNU (?), I went through a whole pile of MICHAEL MOSER listings (again hundreds it seemed) and here I found something interesting: Elisabeth MUSSER born 7. Oct. 1765 - father Michael MOSER, his wife Maria Barbara, last name unknown.. I don't want to bet my bottom dollar on this, but have a gut feeling that this could be her. Needs further exploring by the descendants. It also shows that such a simple name like MOSER can be really kicked around. You are most welcome John. I enjoy helping others where possible, as many have helped me over the past 2 years research. There were two other listings for in Ancestry.com but they were from the "Family Individual data files" meaning they were submitted by family members to ancestry. It did list a David Speece born Kentucky with father Frederick Speece and mother Elizabeth Mozier , also a Mary Spees born Kentucky with father Frederick Spees and mother Elizabeth Mozier. There were birth dates and place of birth listed also. If you want that information I can email it to you also. The only problem with the "family data files" is there is no way to tell what family member submitted the information, ergo you have no source to use expect "ancestry.com file". And as we all know you really need to take to the source person or have a documented source for accuracy and proof. But again I will send you the birth information listed on the two above if you want it. Kind Regards Mary Magistro PS I would also look at the surname Moshier as a variation of spelling. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Merz" <hessian@sympatico.ca> To: <AMREV-HESSIANS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 21, 2004 1:30 PM Subject: [HESSIAN] Re: SPIES/SPEES - wife Elizabeth MOZIER/MOSER/MUSSER. > Thank you so much, Mary, perhaps this is what brings us closer > to the real Elizabeth MOSER, the wife of Frederick SPEES (SPIES) > > I checked out the name Elizabeth MOSER, there are literally hundreds, > no wonder, it's like searching a needle in a haystack. > But having read the name MICHAEL Moser as the father of Elizabeth, > and the mother a Mary SNU (?), I went through a whole pile of > MICHAEL MOSER listings (again hundreds it seemed) and here I found > something interesting: > > Elisabeth MUSSER born 7.
