Dear Jane, thank you very much for your help, unfortunately the posting itself exceeded the normal format of our list and I did have to shorten your input. You did post most of this on July 12, 2002. Also, some of the research posted on Rootsweb leaves much to be desired, and when I see somebody spell Hessen-Kassel as "Hassel, Hessie Cattle", I do swallow a bit. What I want to achieve is to get clear and proven facts, if possible with believable references, documentations, but the way it is, Rootsweb does take anything from anybody without proof of correctness.
