He spent some time in Hanover Va before settling in Hagerstown Maryland in the 1790s. He left that area about 1800 and settled in Jessamine Co ( Nicholasville area ) on Jessamine Creek. He had three daughters and one son John. Wife unknown. His house on the creek still stands. Conrad applied for a pension about 1838 was rejected and died shortly after. His closest friend was Jacob Zike ( Zeuch ) who lived along the creek also. Conrad had a mill and a distillery. Most of the information I have on Conrad was obtained from his sworn pension application. Conrad still has many descendents ( Bowmans and Cormans living here in Jessamine Co ( borders Fayette Co--Lexington, Ky ). > > I am in just as interested in Jacob Zike.
