From a reader in Denver, Colorado My own German ancestor who saw combat in the American Revolution has not shown up on any Hessian lists and I can only conclude he didn't arrive with the Hessian army but came on his own with his brother. The AmRev war came along and they had to choose. One joined the Tories; one fought for the Patriots. I don't know more than that about them. I don't know which of them is my ancestor. I continue avidly to read all of your family stories because it's thrilling to read details of the lives of those early Americans. Keep the stories coming! You make your ancestors come alive for me.
