Thank you I will. I found an entry in the archives for a Johann Wolf from Steinbrunn/Alsace and the Brunswick-Barner Regiment at Saratoga that I will follow up on. The age is right, and he is listed as Catholic. We know that the Vermont Wolf, when asked at the Town Meeting House which of the local protestant religions he ascribed to, answered "none of the above." The Town Historian thought he was probably just obstinate, but perhaps it was because he was Catholic??
