Bob and Friends, Sounds like we are getting somewhere. I reviewed my notes on my forebear "Conrad Butt" and find that when I viewed his will in Pickaway Co, OH a few years ago, I noted that he was literate as he had signed his name clearly, Conrad Bott. That is a small leap to make to Konrad Boetten. For some reason the family has spelled the name Butt in this country. Butt isn't that far of Bött and Anglicizing the rest makes it believable.
