Schneider, once more at this later date, just might shake someones memory. John had found only one Hermann Schneider who was listed in Hetrina I under #6897-98 and it says he was born 1753/54 at Frankenberg/Hessen and belonged to the Hesse Kassel Regiment von Huyn. He was listed on the rolls in May 1776 and as being present in Feb. 1783. Nothing was stated as to his status, no discharge,, no desertion or other date listed. Therefore from this source we do not know what happened to him. Harmon G. Schneider married Elizabeth Baumann 1781 in PA. His father was Mattheus Schneider. I would like to know more about the father Mattheus Schneider and family if possible and then maybe we could prove our descent from the above Harmon G. Schneider which so far is just family lore.
