Hi Who out there on this list has this article? Will one of you please copy the article so we can add it in? John, I don't know/remember (my head has been bouncing between all the input) if I thanked you properly! but if I did not.... THANK YOU! every little bit of information will help the new Hessian researcher... Please everyone... go look see, make recommendations of new information to list...or changes that need to be made.... One more suggestion for you Nelda - although there are about 5-600 of my Guide's in various locations in America, it contains an article "Hessian Prisoners in American hands", on pages 26 to 30. It gives the route the Convention prisoners took from Saratoga to Boston, and a year later from Boston to Virginia., with maps and precise dates. I herewith give you written permission to obtain a copy and add it to your website. Perhaps someone can scan it to you and from there on it should be no problem. This would be a tremendous help for those Hessian descendants who are trying to find out when and where their ancestor escaped. Of course this covers only the thousands of Convention prisoners. Hope this will help your project which has my full support. Greetings John Helmut Merz Again what a wonderful group of researchers and Hessian descendants you all are! Nelda Nelda L. Hi Nelda, Wish I were well enough educated on this subject to be a help. I know John's "Guide" would be a big help. I'd be only too pleased to copy and send you that article if I had it. John sent me an address of a company where I could order one. I wrote to them. No answer. Then my computer went AWOL and took some of my address book with it. So now I can't follow up to see if that company can send one and how much money they need. Does ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE THAT ADDRESS??
