    3. Patrick, I am awfully sorry to hear that, but this is beyond my control. I gave up this list as administrator some time ago, and when you check the archives, you will find a different list administrator, who seems to set her own rules. I am retired and all my research stuff is gone to either a U.S.A. based depository (S.A.R.) or a Canadian one in Ameliasburg, Ontario. This means I am not in a position anymore to help, except to provide leads from memory. I would suggest you try again as I suggested, and if that does not work, start a new 'Hessian-Soldier' list with Rootsweb. Thanks for making me aware of your problems, Yours John Helmut Merz, http://home.wtal.de/famfey/hallo-hessenland.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patrick D from Seattle" <cheval52@earthlink.net> To: <AMREV-HESSIANS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, May 13, 2005 4:19 PM Subject: [HESSIAN] Hessian Standstill > John; > > Some of us have tried that route of sending in information > on our Hessian ancestors only to receive a polite slap in > the face.
