Seebold /////////////////////////////// Duncan, If you found this name of Christian SIEBOLD in a Muster Roll of Captain von Schlagenteuffel' Company, taken 1.Jan.1783 in St. Denys, Quebec, This proves one thing only, that this soldier was there at the time given. In August 1783 all the Brunswick regiments returned home, shipped out from Quebec City. If Virginia DeMarce does not have him in her book (My Source #1) it is 99% certain that he has gone home as well. Clifford Neal Smith in his 'Brunswick Deserters' (my source #18) does not have him either. Have you checked out the mail list archives of the SEYBOLD-L@rootsweb.com mail lis or the corresponding SEYBOLD Rottsweb Message Board, there may be some cousins of yours lurking. Good luck in your search John Helmut Merz - (retired on Lake Ontario)
