Hello Hessians; Dana Majernik was wondering if I was working as a monitor for Rootsweb, because I re-posted her message to the AMREV-HESSIANS mail list, and I explained to her how this PML Service works. Actually it is very simple - Rootsweb is honoring their old Donors and Sponsors, before Ancestry times, with giving them the priviledge to give us a copy of every Rootsweb Message appearing on any Rootsweb Mailing List with certain keywords. It is a wonderful system, and has helped me finding leads, and like in the case of Dana, she brought up the name of a Hessian soldier, we haven't heard of. My idea was to put her query over the Hessians list, so we have a record of the name in the archives, as well as a contact person. Where else do you look for Hessian Soldiers? MY QUESTION to our AMREV-HESSIANS subscribers - is there anybody out there who is also a recipient of the PML Service? Has nobody of our present subscribers the priviledge of this wonderful service? Where were you when Rootsweb needed your donations? Too late now - - only we who supported Rootsweb financially years back are the happy receivers of this service. This is why I am able to let you have the benefit of it as well, when the opportunity presents itself. That's why you get those messages, headed in the subject line with: PML Service. Thanks, Rootsweb, Sincerely John Helmut Merz. /////////////////////////////////// ----- Original Message ----- From: "john" <jmerz@cogeco.ca> Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2005 8:29 PM Subject: [HESSIAN] Re: PML Search: Friedrich SCHLOEG, Hessian? > Forwarded to the AMREV-HESSIANS mail list: > > From: "Dana Majernik" <majerdm@yahoo.com> > Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2005 6:47 PM > > > Source: COWAN-L@rootsweb.com > > Subject: Seeking Info About The Cowans of Cowans Gap/Cowans Village, PA > > > > I came upon your website in search of my own Cowen/Cowens/Cowan family.
