    3. Please take note: Jeri Schindler named Bad Nauheim as the place this Christian originated, but according to Hetrina VI the place of birth is Nauheim near Huenfeld/Hessen. A quite different place. > Source: AMREV-HESSIANS-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: AMREV-H+2001+6421428771+F - the Christian SCHAEFER case. > is the Hesse-Hanau soldier Christian Schaeffer who indentured himself > on 11 Sep. 1782, somewhere near Reading, PA, for 3 years. 3. Hello folks, to tell you the truth, I looked at my large 'Hessenland" map, and I could not find a Nauheim near Huenfeld. But I found another Hanau soldier from the same Company, Johannes Schmitt, also from Nauheim (Bad Nauheim) plus a comrade, Conrad Hentzell, from Schwalheim, which is practically next door to Nauheim, now called Bad Nauheim, and I think we are on the right track with this Bad Nauheim, which is just a bit north of Frankfurt/Main. John Helmut Merz (btw. Conrad Hentzel also indentured himself in Nov.1782) ----- Original Message ----- From: "john" <jmerz@cogeco.ca> Sent: Saturday, June 04, 2005 9:26 PM > Please take note: > Jeri Schindler named Bad Nauheim as the place this Christian > originated, but according to Hetrina VI the place of birth is > Nauheim near Huenfeld/Hessen.
