FORWARDEDTO LIST ----Original Message Follows---- From: PETER SPANG GOODRICH <pgoodrch@providence.edu> To: AMREV-HESSIANS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: {not a subscriber} General von Knyhaupsen death in Germany Date: Mon, 14 Mar 2005 19:17:06 -0700 Baron Von Knyphausen, who was 2 and 2 in battles versus George Washington, was hidden in Philadelphia by my great 10th uncle Peter Spang. As a reward the Baron took him back to Germany and set him up with a Baroness in marriage. Our family lost a case in Germany over 18 million dollars in inheritance which was kept by the Cassel, Germany during World War I. I have an article on this from the 1917? Reading Eagle. I will try to dig it out, scan it, and place it on the net.
