Hello Loretta; Remember our exchange of information back in 2001? At leat 10 messages in the mail list archives under 'MILLIS', Lots of information !!! And on top of it - just a year ago in April 2004 - here came an enquiry from Mrs. Louise Briggs coastkid917@aol.com which I unfortunately failed to follow up, but Louise Briggs rewarded us in Dec. 2004 with a lenghty report of her research. Oh I am so happy that we got those mail list archives of ours, a real GOLDMINE. Cheers, John Helmut Merz, retired on Lake Ontario. ----- Original Message ----- From: <lorettadunham@aol.com> Sent: Sunday, April 24, 2005 5:31 PM > =========================== > Source: MAFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: Hessian soldier MILLIS > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Millis > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EB.2ACE/606.1.1.1.2.1 > > Gloria, > > Interested in exchanging information about John Millis of Leyden MA. He was a Hessian soldier and I am hoping to find where he was from in Germany. So far, nothing has panned out on that search. > > My line is John's eldest son, John Millis, who went to NY and then to Michigan. >
