Hello Hessians! I received an ad from a publisher for the following book: THE GERMAN ELEMENT IN THE WAR OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE. George Washington Greene, LL. D. Paperback, (1876), reprint 2011, 211 pp. This work consists primarily of three parts: A biography of Baron Von Steuben; a biography of General John Kaib; and approximately 40 pages devoted to a discussion of the German Mercenaries. The author's narrative also provides the reader not only biographical information on Von Steuben and Kaib, but advances a focused insight into the German contribution to both the American and British efforts. Does anyone have any comments pro or con about the information inside this book which could help me decide whether or not to purchase it? Thanks, Marie Rasnick Fetzer
