For once, not something to blame on Ancestry -- they were very quick to issue a statement saying that it was NBC's decision, not Ancestry's. Ancestry's stock was way up due in large part to the wide exposure the company was getting from WDYTYA, and took a hit when the cancellation was announced. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ancestry-com-comments-status-think-230909377.html Karen Stuart On Thu, May 24, 2012 at 3:12 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > The British WDYTA is much superior to the US version. The British WDYTA is much superior to the US version. I think NBC cancelled because ancestry.com withdrew their sponsorship. Ancestry.com must have decided it wasn't cost-effective. Carol A. Very often they do have repeats on them because people ask for them. They missed the first showing and heard about it later. They are all very good and educational. That's one of Smith's works, but I don't think it's the one that focuses on the Convention (mainly Braunschweig) troops. The document at the LoC I was referring to is the original 18th century document. I believe "Acta Militaria" is part of its title. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Stuart" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2012 12:31 PM Subject: Re: [AMREV-HESSIANS] Convention Army Barracks > @Bill Derrow: Is this it? > > Personal name: Smith, Clifford Neal. > > Main title: Muster rolls and prisoner-of-war lists in American > archival > collections pertaining to the German mercenary troops > who served with the British forces during the > American > Revolution / Clifford Neal Smith. > > Published/Created: DeKalb,, Ill. : Westland Publications, 1974-1976. > > Description: 3 v.
