I've set up a DNA group at family tree dna called Am*d*n. We're researching the male lineage of the family with the goal of finding our pre-American heritage and to confirm our paper trail research back to Roger Amadowne of Salem, Massachusetts. So far we've had 3 Amidon/Amaden members confirm that we are connected back to Roger's son Philip (1670-1747) because we were descended from different sons of Philip's.
