    1. Re: Amidon/ Mayflower connection?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: pdickins Surnames: Amidon Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.amidon/168.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Henry had a son Joseph (1724-1810) m. Patience Chaffee (1741-1816). They lived in Ashford, Windham, Connecticut, but eventually moved to Onondaga County, New York. I know that Joseph reportedly responded to the Lexington Alarm with his brother Henry, who later served as Captain in the Conn. 23rd Regiment Militia. However, I do not know what Joseph did after Lexington. My wife is descended from Henry, whose son Jacob also relocated to Onondaga. I have looked at the passenger list but have not found a connection between any of the wives and the Mayflower. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
