About a year ago I found am obit of my great uncle Dr. Charles E.V. Kennon who died in 1951. Born in CT. but for most of his adult life lived in Providence, R.I. It stated he was a member of the R.I. Historical Society and the SAR. His membership in the RIHS was proven BUT when I asked SAR particulars (with a $5 fee) they denied he was a member. I have a feeling the clerk who did the lookup was having a bad day and wasn't doing their job. Is there anyone on this list who possibly has the records to re-check this for me..it would be appreciated. Thanks Charlie Hunter cfhhch2@webtv.net
Remember there are two organizations. The Sons of the Revolution and The Sons of the American Revolution. Check with both organizations.
