Looking for ideas as to how to find out more about Captain Thomas Ewell of Virginia who fought at the Battle of Monmouth. Captain Ewell is mentioned in a pension application of another soldier, but we have no Rev War record of him in Prince William County, VA (where he settled after the war.) Most of our Rev War records were destroyed during the subsequent "revolution." Thanks for your thoughts.
