Based on the report of Brigadier General Anthony Wayne to General Washington after the Storming of Stony Point, there were 15 men killed in action (KIA). I am attempting to identify these men. Supporting reports show that there were 2 Sergeants and 13 Privates KIA from the following units: 1st Light Infantry Regiment (Febiger's) 1 Sergeant, 6 Privates 2nd Light Infantry Regiment (Butler's) 1 Sergeant, 2 Privates 3rd Light Infantry Regiment (Meigs') 3 Privates MA Light Infantry Detachment 2 Privates Since the two assaults (north and south) were lead by 250 volunteers, it is assumed that these men who died were among the volunteers. So far I have identified one Private as follows: George Ebey, Pvt., PA Line, Capt. John Harris' Co. (1st or 2nd LI Regt.) I am not sure that Captain John Harris' Company was a Company of the PA Line or a company in the Corps of light Infantry. PA provided 6 companies of light infantry to the Corps of Light Infantry. 2 PA companies were in the 1st LI Regt., while 4 PA companies were in the 2nd LI Regt. I would like to identify all the killed in this battle. Best, Hugh
