I got this request from someone not on the list. The war in the South is definitely not one of my areas of expertise. Can anyone help? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Really enjoyed the write-up of the Battle from Lossing's Field Book. My GGGG Grandfather, Alexander Chisholm appears to have been captured that day as a member of the Royal Highland Emigrants - Nova Scotia Marines. He and several others were on the Glasgow Packet, but it was destroyed. They were left behind in the battle: _http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:fdBaUiE2rkkJ:www.84th.com/website/articles/marine.htm+Captain+%22Alexander+Campbell%22++%22Glasgow+packet%22&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 Do you happen to know where the prisoners were held in Charlestown and for how long? He eventually was in Maryland where he was exchanged in August of 1778. Any help finding out about his POW days is greatly appreciated!
