Hi, Does anyone have any information, on what a Patriot did to sign up to serve in the Rev. War? Were there any papers that he filled out, that might require the names of his parents? Thanks for the help, Pat.

In addition to Pat's questions ..... was there any suggestion/requirement to wear identification? I have always been struck by a Journal entry which described a lone fallen soldier/captive who just couldn't make it all the way home after being released a few months after the Battle of Brooklyn ... and died at the side of the road.
