Same here...I think there are many for whom 'DAR' membership has not been applied. I was lucky enough to find my James Sheldon from the PA Archives site. I have at least 8 ancestors with known service in the American Revolution, two are pensioned. Only one (not pensioned) is found in the DAR. So don't give up just because your ancestor is not listed.
