Dear Listers, Samuel McCOBB of Maine (1744 - 1791) married, in 1768, my wife's cousin Rachel DENNY (1752 - 1825). I am told that he was variously a Major, a Colonel, or a General in the Revolutionary War (against us Brits!) or later, but I can find very little about him on 'the net' (though Janice Farnsworth kindly gave him a mention yesterday - thanks Janice!). Does anyone know of this gentleman, his wife, and/or his children: Denny (son, 1770); Beatrice (1772); Rachel Loring (1774); Nancy (1777); John (1779); Jane (1781); Sally (1783); and Parker (son, 1785).
