    3. My pleasure, Mary! I know I listed Josiah Burton as my Rev. War patriot, but I did that from memory and I was wrong. Actually, it was his father Joseph Burton who fought in the American Revolution. Josiah Burton b. ca 1758 in Abbeville, SC married my Mary Pratt b. ca 1763 in ca 1782. Their children were: Robert Burton b. ca 1783 m. Sara Hall Sarah Burton b. ca 1788 m. Winston Hall William Burton b. 1790 m. Elizabeth ? Caleb Burton b. 1792 m. Dicey Smith John Burton b. 1796 m. Elizabeth Pruitt Elizabeth Burton b 1797 m. Samuel Black Peter S. Burton b. 1801 m. Harriett Martha McGee Mary Burton b. 9-29-1810 m. Joshua Ashley, Jr. All these birthdates are "about" and all the children were born in Abbeville, South Carolina. My cousin's approved DAR application list Josiah's siblings as: John Burton William Burton Elizabeth Burton Sarah Burton Catherine Burton Mahatabel Burton Douglas Burton Mary Burton I hope this was more than you needed.
